Mountain-Biking

Activity Duration: 2.5-4hours

Location: Near Lake Manyara or Lake Victoria (Speke Bay Lodge)

Enjoy one of two easy mountain-biking excursions: (1) An easy cycle ride down the Great Rift Valley wall into the farming village of Mto Wa Mbu. Experience local cultures from the bike, ride through some of the Manyara ground water forest and between small herds of wildlife on the lakeshore. (2)

Mountain-bike trip through Masamba Hills near Lake Victoria. In this area the only means of transportation is a bicycle, which is why there are numerous small tracks and no vehicles. It gives a good picture of what most of Tanzania still looks like ‘off the beaten track’. The guided trip takes about four hours and is to be made in the afternoon.
